About me

I grew up in Round Rock Texas, just outside of Austin. Out of high school, I began by attending one of UMHB’s rivals before I ultimately transferred here in 2012. I enjoyed my time so much that I decided to stay. During my time here as a student, I was involved in First Year Council, Crusader Knights, Easter Pageant, Stunt Night, and Student Government Association. My wife also enjoyed her time at UMHB so much that she has returned and is pursuing a second degree in nursing.

Favorite Thing About UMHB

My favorite thing about UMHB is the classroom and campus environment. Having professors who know exactly who you are and care about your success meant everything to me. If I was ever having trouble with a certain subject all I had to do was reach out to that professor and schedule a time to go by their office and discuss what issue I was having trouble with.

Interests & Hobbies

I am a huge hockey fan. My favorite teams are the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Dallas Stars. I also enjoy watching football, playing golf, telling jokes, I am a big dog lover, and I enjoy traveling and seeing new places.

Fun Fact About Me

People often mistake me for Tom Brady because we look exactly alike and are both stellar quarterbacks. The only difference between he and I is, I have zero Super Bowl losses.

UMHB Journey

I transferred to UMHB in 2012 after attending Howard Payne University for a year and Austin Community College for another year. I had a few friends that were already students here and they had nothing but positive comments about it. Therefore, I decided to pay UMHB a visit and see what campus was like. Once I arrived, I knew that this was where I needed to be from the start of my college career and that is one thing I love about being in this position is helping to bring clarity and assurance to prospective students that UMHB is the place for them!
